Hayward Tyler awarded pump contract for ITER fusion challenge

Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister company Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million greenback contracts to support the ITER project in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps while Energy Steel will supply sixty two solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER challenge is a joint international analysis and improvement project to reveal the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion power. The demonstration facility is under development in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and will be the largest fusion experimental reactor in the world.
Hayward Tyler’s booster pumps might be an integral a part of the drying system for the Tokamak Cooling Water System (TCWS). The pumps will be designed, constructed and examined at Hayward Tyler Inc in Colchester, Vermont, USA.
